This was a big ambitious project for me. I wrote, directed and played a small role in this film. A hard film to shoot as it is essentially two movies. A Viet Nam war movie set in 1969 and a road movie set in America in 1994. Thrilled to get this film off the ground after suffering several set-backs trying to get it made. It stars Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects, Born on the 4th of July), Candace Cameron (Full House) and my friends David White and Kevin Downes. We filmed at a ranch northeast of Los Angeles. Very cold nights. We were also given permission to film at the Vietnam Wall in Washington D.C. with the instructions that we were not allowed to ask anyone to leave or even move out of our shot. We were to let them stay as long as they needed. We totally understood and respected the rules. It took a while to get our shots but it was worth it. A great experience filming there. I worked my butt off on this film and I hope it shows. It's a very personal story. A very personal film and I hope that shows too.
